Today I am blog hopping with Crafty Collaborations, which are a group of Stampin Up Demonstrators from around the globe. Our challenge this month is vintage techniques, this certainly was a challenge as it isn’t a style that I would normally design. I choose to make a Vintage Pocket Card.
Its good to be taken out of your comfort zone now and again, and I thoroughly enjoyed the challenge and also very pleased with the design I made.
I wanted to get the paper and card looking old so I took ink pads and blending brushes and used these to colour and age the card. I think it was successful too.
This card was cut slimmer than normal and before adding the DSP I took a blending brush and Crumb Cake Ink and lightly added ink to the paper. Then I tore it diagonally and glued the right side down to create a pocket.
A piece of Vellum was added to the back of the card before glueing the front section down. Flowers and leaves were cut from the DSP then crumb cake ink was brushed over to age them.
Tag
The card pocket has a tag inside and I dragged So Saffron ink pad across the front and back, then added sentiments in the Early Espresso Ink. The Crumb Cake Ink was also dragged over the top to age it.
Stamping small flowers over the top in Crumb Cake ink finished it off niceley. I then added more flowers on the bottom of the tag.
Thankyou for joining me and I hope you’ve enjoyed my Vintage Pocket Card project and that it has inspired you. You will find a list of items that I have used to make this card.
You can now take a look at what everyone else has been making.
