On the Horizon

Hello and welcome back to my blog, Today I am hopping with the Ink Stamp Share Team  and we have a sketch Challenge. My card is called On The Horizon and below you will see the sketch we had to follow..

The Designer Series Paper I used is called New Horizons and might possibly be the most beautiful patterned paper you’ll ever buy.

These horizon scenes were handpainted by one of our talented artists. The tranquil watercolour imagery will look beautiful as a background on a card front or on a scrapbook page. It’s versatile, too. Turn the paper upside down to change water to sky or whatever you can imagine.

Also used were the On The Horizons Stamp Set and Horizons Dies to decorate the card.

Misty Moonlight and Basic White Cardstock worked perfectly with the dsp.

The inks I used on the card were Smokey Slate and Black Memento.

How To Make

  • Start with any sized base card and then cut the 1st layer 1/4″ smaller all round.
  • Cut the dsp 1/4″ smaller than the layer.
  • Stamp the birds on the dsp and then cut it into 3 sections making the middle section larger than the 2 outer sections.
  • Adhere the dsp to the layer.
  • Stamp 2 of the wood panels with Smokey Slate and cut out.
  • Cut one of the panel into a post.
  • Choose a sentiment and stamp onto white cardstock then cut out
  •

Its now time to see what everyone else has created for you. Enjoy!
