Welcome to my blog, today I have made a watercoloured textured card using the decorative masks and embossing paste. I have then watercoloured the background and the flowers. I hope you enjoy watching the video.
Instead of taking my cardstock and stamping on it or adding die cuts, I first took it and added texture and colour to it. This is something we can all do to alter the way we use cardstock..
We can take a piece of cardstock and make it any colour we want by diluting or using it at full strength. Therefore when you grab a piece of cardstock and wish it was a little darker or lighter dont forget you can achieve this!
If you look at the card I have made, I took the balmy blue ink and used it to watercolour a piece of white cardstock but I wanted a paler colour so I added more water. The colour I achieved was perfect for what I wanted. I also used a decorative mask and embossing paste to add texture which totally changes your cardstock. you will see how I did all this in the video.
Both techniques are straightforward and once you have seen the video you will be well on your way! The colours and looks you can achieve are endless. I hope you’ve enjoyed my Watercoloured Textured Card?
You can also colour the embossing paste by taking a small amount and adding a little watercolour ink, so once again this opens up endless variations.

I have made a list of everything I have used to make this card below. However you don’t need everything, you can adapt and make your own version. Most importantly Enjoy!
